In the IPL 2023 match held in Jaipur on Wednesday, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) emerged victorious by a margin of 10 runs against Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Despite a cautious approach from Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who put up an 87-run partnership for the opening wicket, the fortunes of the game turned in Lucknow's favour following Yashasvi's dismissal by Marcus Stoinis. Rajasthan then experienced a batting collapse and were restricted to 144/6 in 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant final over by Avesh Khan who took two wickets and conceded only 8 runs. Earlier, LSG had been invited to bat and scored 154/7. However, R Ashwin and Trent Boult's clinical bowling restricted them, with Ashwin taking two wickets and conceding 23 runs, while Boult picked up a wicket and gave away 16 runs. Kyle Mayers scored a half-century for LSG, but his slow pace meant the team couldn't post a more significant total.
