Messi, Salah and Lewandowski to be named FIFA World Player of the Year 2021

 FIFA's World Player of the Year will be announced on January 17. In the final round, three players - Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah and Robert Lewandowski - have been shortlisted.

 Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Killian Mbabane were eliminated from the final. Lewandowski is seeking the FIFA World Player of the Year award for the second year in a row.  The award will be presented at a ceremony in Zurich.

Lewandowski leads the way with the most goals scored last year. In 2021, he scored 69 goals in various competitions.  Polish star Lewandowski plays for Bayern Munich.  

Lewandowski holds the record for most goals in a season in the Bundesliga and the most goals in a calendar year in the Bundesliga.  He also won the Bundesliga, the German Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup with Bayern.

 The arrival of superstar Messi, who won last year's Ballon d'Or.  Messi, who won the Copa America for Argentina, became Barcelona's top scorer last season.  But after joining PSG, Messi was not able to put up a good performance.  Last year, 43 goals and 18 assists came from Messi's magic boot.

Mohamed Salah, who is playing in explosive form in the English Premier League, was ranked third on FIFA's Player of the Year 2018 list.  Egyptian Salah is set to make his debut for Liverpool in the English Premier League.  Salah, the top scorer in the English Premier League last season, scored a total of 39 goals and 11 assists.
