There is a lot of buzz about Erling Haaland's next destination. Barcelona, like other big European teams, is on the list of the Norwegian agent Mino Raiola to determine his destination this summer, and everything seems to indicate that his fate is limited to Barcelona and Real Madrid.
According to Lluis Carrasco, campaign manager for Joan Laporta in the Barcelona elections, FC Barcelona will not leave an opportunity to sign the striker.
“Haaland will be in Barcelona,” Carrasco said frankly on Twitch. “I know the president loves Erling Haaland. He knows he needs a star player for this youthful project and that he could be dominating European football for years to come. In two or three seasons we can have a great team, but he needs that standard player. And now, in the European market, it's Haaland."
He added: "I know that Laporta loves Haaland very much. He won't give up trying to get him involved. He will try in every way, other than his friendship with Mino Raiola, who can influence a little, but a strong knight is money.”
Carrasco was also strong when explaining why Barcelona is a better destination for Haaland than Madrid: “Erling is interested in a winning project. The complementary figures in the big teams live a bad life and there is no more to learn about the problems between Neymar and Mbappe, or 1,000 other examples.”
He added: “It will be different if Haaland arrives at a team where they are already waiting for a character called Mbappe for two seasons and then he arrives in the same season. That constant comparison will do a lot of damage to any player.”
Carrasco concluded, “If Erling leaves Dortmund, he will make these numbers at Camp Nou, and it will not be the case at Real Madrid. In Barcelona, it will be automatic.
