The teams are targeting superstars whose contracts expire at the end of this season. The giants Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe, Paulo Dybala and Gareth Bale all have six months to sign their current contract with the club. With the start of the January transfer window, clubs will be able to make advance agreements with players.

It is estimated that 539 players from Europe's five major leagues will become free agents by the end of the season. Paul Pogba of Manchester United and Kylian Mbappe of PSG are the big names in the group. Midfielder Pogba is unlikely to remain at English club Manchester United. The Frenchman is followed by Juventus, PSG and Real Madrid.

Hugo Lloris (Tottenham), Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Cesar Aspelicuta (Chelsea), Frank Kesia (Milan), Luka Modric, Bale (Real) (Juventus), Osmane Dembele (Barcelona), Lorenzo Incine (Napoli), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) and Jesse Lingard (Manchester United) are all under contract at the end of this season.
