Chelsea dominated the opening minutes of the match, but Liverpool scored in the ninth minute through Sadio Mane. Mohammad Salah also scored in the 26th minute to give the Reds a two-goal lead in the first 30 minutes.
However, in the 42nd minute, Chelsea scored a goal through Matteo Kovacic. With just minutes left in the first half, Chelsea scored their second goal through Christian Pulisic.
Mendy saved Chelsea, who saved shots from Salah and Mane in the second half. Chelsea remain second with 43 points from 21 games. Liverpool are third with 42 points.
