Jamshedpur FC beat Odisha FC 1-0 in the Indian Super League. Mubashir Rahman scored the winning goal for the team. With this victory, Jamshedpur activated their play-off chances. Len Dum Gal of Jamshedpur won the Hero of the Match award. This was a great consolation victory for Jamshedpur, which had consistently drawn and lost. With this victory, the team jumped to sixth place in the points table. But Odisha, who have won just one match this season, remain in last place. With this defeat, Odisha's play-off chances came to an end. The first move came in the fifth minute of the first half. Jamshedpur is behind that move. Mubashir's pass from outside the box seemed to fall on Walskis' feet. The ball bounced off Arshdeep and into the net without hitting Valskis' feet. The goal came from Arshdeep's failure to anticipate Walskis taking the ball. Mubashir scored the amazing goal from a distance of 39 meters. In the second half, Jamshedpur played in a slow rhythm. But Odisha could not take advantage of it and attack. Manuel O'Neill and Diego Mauritius struggled to find the rhythm. In the 59th minute, Valskis tried to score a goal with a bicycle kick for Jamshedpur, but the ball went just outside the Odisha post. Odisha did their best to score. In the 71st minute, Odisha's Paul got a good chance but the ball bounced off the post. It was an opportunity to score an easy goal. Odisha tried to score through counter-attacks. Jamshedpur were dragged into the defense for more than the last ten minutes. Odisha's chances of scoring were almost over. Had Manuel Onnu gone up to form, Odisha could have won the match. Even when the midfield and defense played in unison, the forwards could not find the rhythm. This led to the defeat of Odisha.
